**There will be one more opportunity for eighth graders to
attend a Sunday morning class to count toward their required eight sessions: on
February 5 at 9:30am.
By now, eighth-graders should be nearly complete with Sunday morning classes,
and should be preparing to participate in regular church attendance.

Our most recent Confirmation Class (2011)
Confirmation is a journey of Christian formation and transformation, learned
and lived out over a school year’s time. Beginning in September, Rev.
Jonah K. Smith-Bartlett and Youth Directors Chris Guda and Caroline Ainsworth will
guide eighth graders through the Christian story in confirmation class. Not
only by learning the Bible, singing Christian songs, praying together, and
talking about faith, but also by participating in worship, loving their
neighbors through service projects, and learning about other world
religions, the class walks a Christian path together. By year end, each
student will write a statement of faith that is no mere regurgitation of
facts, but a soul-searching examination of “what I believe,” read by the
church’s Deacon board and excerpted for the congregation. The 2010-2011
Confirmation Class officially joined the church as adult members at the
9:30am service on Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Confirmation classes meet on Mondays at 4:00pm, and on Tuesdays at 4:00pm
and
5:15pm in Smith Hall, beginning September 26/27. Sunday morning classes begin
on October 9 at 9:30am. Please contact the Rev.
