Confirmation Class Expectations 2011-2012

1.        Attendance at Class

           Regular attendance at confirmation classes (Mondays/Tuesdays).
         Missed classes must be made up through written assignments. 
         The assignments should be turned in within two weeks of the missed
          classes.

 2.        Attendance at Sunday Services

 Each confirmand is expected to attend ten worship services between now
 and Confirmation Sunday.  At all services, a Worship Questions sheet will
 be available (a sample is attached).  The sheet should be completed by the
 confirmand for each service and returned to confirmation class or the church
 office promptly.

3.        Attendance at Church School

 Each confirmand is expected to attend at least eight Confirmation
 Connections classes.  This class is held on Sunday mornings in the Fall
 during the 9:30 worship service, beginning October 9.

4.        Written Statement of Faith (two parts)

         Each essay must be at least one page, typed, in length.  The content of
         each statement is discussed in detail during class.
 

5.        Service Ministry Requirement

 Each confirmand is expected to participate in at least two service projects
 sponsored by the Middle School Youth Group (MSYG) or Service
 Ministries.  Below are dates/times for the service projects planned to date:

October 10 – Cooking for a Cause
November 20 – Turkey Day Service Project
December 4 – Bread and Roses Wrapping Party
January 29 – Bag Lunch Service Project      
 

6.       Participation in a Worship Service

 Each confirmand must participate in one Sunday morning worship service
 with a parent, either as a Coffee Hour Host or as a Greeter.  There will be
 sign-ups at the Parent’s Meeting.  If you have not had a chance to sign up,
