Greeters and Fellowship Hour Hosts Needed
We need everyone in the congregation to take a turn as
a Greeter
and/or Host. Each Sunday we are fortunate to have smiling faces to greet us
and volunteers to guide us as we walk into the Sanctuary for 9:30 or 11:15am worship. Between services, it’s fun to catch up with our church friends during Fellowship Hour as we enjoy coffee, juice and snacks. These wonderful opportunities for church fellowship are available because caring church members volunteer each week to serve as Greeters
and Ushers and to host Fellowship Hour.
Greeting simply involves arriving a few minutes early for a worship service and shaking hands with fellow members as they enter the Sanctuary. Anyone can serve as a greeter - alone, with a spouse or friend, or as an entire family. (Children especially love to greet, as it makes them feel that they are an important part of the church.) Also, Greeters have a reserved seat in the front of the Sanctuary - an added bonus to a fun job!
Hosting Fellowship Hour involves buying and serving coffee and juice (and snacks, if you wish) to the congregation between services. If you are not able to serve your fellow church members on a weekly basis by teaching Church School or singing in the choir, hosting Fellowship Hour is a great way to “give back” to your church family.
Please consider volunteering to host Fellowship Hour and/or to greet at one of
our worship services. Sign-up lists are posted on the bulletin board near the
coffee table in Smith Hall. Be sure to include your phone number, so that we can
give you a reminder call. For questions about either of these important
service opportunities, please contact Amy Plum at
