Children & Youth Choirs

Registration Forms for Children’s Choirs are Available Here

Our vibrant choral program provides not only a wonderful foundation of music education, but also joins music concepts, theory, and performance skills with learning the stories of the Bible, the “Golden Rule,” and about God’s unconditional love and acceptance. Our focus is to involve our children in worship, establish confidence in public performance, and build a strong Christian community. There is no need to audition, and you may register at any rehearsal throughout the year.

Grace Notes

Ages 2-4 with Parent/Guardian
Mondays 4:30-5:00pm
Directed by Dr. Jo Deen Blaine Davis

Grace Notes provides a safe and friendly environment where the joy of young children is evident as Bible stores are shared through the medium of music.  Grace Notes participants have fun as they sing, hear dynamics, play rhythm instruments, and develop motor skills.  A parent (guardian) is involved with the Grace Note as the child participates. This is an introduction for parents to realize that music is essential at a young age and that the church recognizes this importance.  Grace Notes sing with Cherubs occasionally in the worship services and at the spring children’s musical.

Cherub Choir

Ages 4-K
Mondays 4:00-4:30pm
Directed by Dr. Jo Deen Blaine Davis

Cherubs is a continuation of the Grace Notes program.  Cherubs learn the theology of the church through music.  Children enjoy time together with emphasis on pitch matching, solfegé, rhythm with instruments, and community building.  Each week Cherubs are introduced to the fundamentals of music.  Cherubs have their own choir robes and sing occasionally in the worship services and at the spring children’s musical.
