Worship & Special Services

Joining in song, prayer, and scriptural reflection, we cultivate in our services of worship a basic habit of faith – the habit of gratitude.  Our ministers offer thought-provoking and inspiring sermons that help put flesh on the bones of our convictions. In worship, we believe walls between ourselves and between ourselves and God can be broken down.  Worship gives us a glimpse of a Kingdom where self-giving love is the rule, where the weak are made strong, and where hearts can join in Jesus’ prayer, “Your will be done.”

On a typical Sunday, our Meeting House is filled with a mix of church members and visitors. It’s a lively place to be: a spiritual springboard into the joys and trials, successes and failures of the week.  As we engage in the teachings of Christ and the traditions of our faith, we thank God for our many blessings and pray for those less fortunate.

Our worship services are intended to involve all in our congregation. From the contemplative worship service to family worship; from communion on the first Sunday of the month to special services, we look in our services for the presence of God’s grace and love, and for an opportunity to offer our concerns, reflection, and thanks in response.

We are thrilled to have such a dynamic team of preachers, scholars, and drivers of diverse and exciting programming — a truly world-class resource of talent for us to draw upon as we traverse our spiritual journeys, corporately and individually. We invite you to learn more about worship at our church through any of the links on the left.
