On Sunday, December 16, the chancel choir of The Congregational Church will present the charming choral work “A Ceremony of Carols,” by British composer Benjamin Britten, accompanied by harpist Joy Plaisted. Morning services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the Meeting House.

The work consists of short movements, settings of English and Medieval poetry celebrating the birth of Christ. Said Dr. Jo Deen Blaine Davis, the church’s Director of Music Ministries, “We are so pleased to be able to present this seasonal work; we hope that it will be one of the many points of entry into this season of waiting and hope for all who hear it.”

The church’s Senior Associate Minister, Rev. Dr. Joanne M. Swenson, will be preaching. All are welcome to the services, which are sure to enhance your enjoyment of the holiday season.
