“Is this not the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice…? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house?” -Isaiah 58:6-7
Giving up or Giving?
During Lent, we always think of giving something up, which we do to remember Christ’s sacrifice. What if we we instead gave something, so that our sacrifice had purpose? What if we sacrificed a little time and money at the grocery to feed our close neighbors in need through the New Canaan Food Pantry?
Lent is about the new; let’s do it in a new way this year.
Grocery lists supporting the pantry are in Smith Hall and the Narthex.
