As of Monday night there is a mandatory evacuation for low-lying areas of Harrison County, which includes the area we worked in in East Biloxi this year. They’re expecting storm surge tides of 8-12 feet, and there will probably be some sustained flooding in areas with poor drainage, but as of Tuesday afternoon there was just couple feet of flooding right along the beach as the storm approached.
We will continue to update this blog as we receive further information from our Mission Partners. Please keep them in your prayers!
