Raised as a Quaker, Debbie feels closest to God in silent moments, especially when surrounded by nature , and also often finds God close when singing our church music.

Debbie Chapman came to New Canaan in August 1999 after spending 24 years overseas in Puerto Rico, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, and Switzerland. While raising her two children, she volunteered in New Canaan with the school libraries, Boy Scouts, Encore Club, Meals on Wheels, the United Way, and with the DCA Blue Notes women’s vocal ensemble. She loves the outdoors and hiking. She can be contacted at the church between 9:30 and 2:30 p.m., on most Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
